About Youlogy
Youlogy is playable with 3 or more players, but optimal for 4-8 immature adults (18+). Each game of Youlogy simulates one life and usually takes 30 – 60 minutes. Remember, we are at a funeral, so have some respect for the dead!*
*Note: This game is more fun if you have no respect for the dead.
How does it work?
Youlogy places players at a funeral and the purpose of the game is to create the character that you are gathered to mourn the loss of.
ROUND 1
What's my name?
An appointed judge will put the picture on display, and all other players will anonymously write and submit a name they feel matches the character. The judge will award a point to the player who submitted the best name.
ROUNDS 2-7
The life of the deceased
Guided by fill-in-the-blank topic cards, players create details about the deceased through different life stages including ‘Birth and Toddler’, ‘School Age’, ‘Young Adult’, ‘Career’, ‘Family Life’, and ‘Old Age and Death’.
Each round the judge (which rotates through the players), awards a point to their favourite answer. In the last round, the character dies.
The Youlogy
The player with the most points after 7 rounds is the winner! As the winner, you get to select the player (or yourself!) who has to perform the Youlogy for the character you just created!
WARNING
Youlogy may cause excessive laughter, tears, and spontaneous applause. Play at your own risk!

Meet the maker
Youlogy is the firstborn brainchild of creative genius, Shawn Bourassa. Youlogy was born in 2020 for people in Shawn’s bubble during the pandemic shutdown. The game brought so much joy and laughter to light that Shawn thought, ‘If this plague ever ends…I’m gonna turn Youlogy into a star’, and here we are!
As a registered nurse, Shawn deals with the sadder parts of life with a dark sense of humour.
Shawn Bourassa
Youlogy was inspired by his wife’s love of Halloween/horror, his love of fun and laughter, and his family’s/friends’ love of games.
Shawn’s hope is that you and your family/friends will enjoy his morbid-sounding game as much as his family and friends have!
“I was one of the first people to play Youlogy, even before it was a real board game. It was so much fun back then and it's still fun today! If you love belly laughing, you'll love Youlogy!”
-Janelle
